If you are looking for accommodations for a month or more, these organizations can generally provide furnished studio or one-bedroom apartments.

Homestay

In a homestay, a student (generally international) lives with an American family in between one and six months, and usually has their own bedroom, bathroom, and access to the kitchen. Homestays are often less expensive than other housing options, but they also offer a little less privacy.

Short-Term on a Budget

Boston Craigslist Housing Sublet & Temporary

Rotating Room – a sublet/swap system that requires its users to have a valid .edu email address.

Sublet – a sublet searching database, includes many cities, some listings are available for free, but many of them are not.
