Lahey Rotation: PGY-2 and PGY-3

Our PGY2 and PGY3 residents rotate at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, MA (http://www.lahey.org/gynecology/). The Lahey Gynecology Department provides care for women in general gynecology, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology, and gynecologic oncology. This is an intensive surgical rotation in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, urogynecologic procedures for prolapse and incontinence, and GYN oncology.

Continuity Clinic: PGY-2 through PGY-4

Each resident has continuity clinic in the last three years of residency. It is a half-day per week ambulatory experience that focuses on antepartum and postpartum care, family planning, general, gynecology, and preventative health care. The focus of the continuity clinic is ambulatory history taking, the outpatient physical exam, mastery of common office procedures, health screening and immunizations, and patient education and counseling. Residents are expected to be the primary physician for their patients. We encourage our residents to attend the deliveries or cesarean sections of their patients, schedule and perform their gynecologic surgery, and manage their healthcare needs as appropriate.
