Exam Remediation Dates and Request Form

2014-2015 Remediation Dates

When signing up for exam remediation, students must adhere to the guidelines outlined in section 8.14 of the Policies and Procedures for Evaluation, Grading and Promotion of Boston University School of Medicine MD Students.

BUSM I Students

The deadline to sign up for BUSM I remediation exams is Thursday, May 21, 2015.

Students must sign up to complete their remediation exam(s) on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, May 27th
  • Wednesday, June 10th
  • Wednesday, June 24th

Exceptions to the above scheduled dates:

  • Anatomy: Please contact Dr. Zumwalt (azumwalt@bu.edu) directly to schedule your remediation for the Anatomy Practical, and to determine which date you should sign up (via this site) for the computer-based exam.
  • Genetics: Students who need to remediate Genetics are strongly encouraged to sign up for May 27th or June 10th.
  • Integrated Problems: please contact Dr. Young (Megan.Young2@bmc.org) directly to schedule your remediation.
  • Introduction to Clinical Medicine 1: please contact Dr. Harvey (ncharvey@bu.edu) directly to schedule your remediation.
  • Neuroscience: Students who need to remediate Neuroscience must sign up for June 10th for this exam. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Rushmore (rushmore@bu.edu)

BUSM II Students

The deadline to sign up for BUSM II remediation exams is Tuesday, April 14th, 2015.

DRx
Students who earn a Fail for a block by earning <72% for the block grade must remediate any module exam within that block for which they got <72%. Students who earn a block grade of >72%, but earned <65% on any module exam within that block, must remediate those modules. Remediation exams will be given by block and will include content from all modules within the block for which students must remediate.

Students must earn a passing grade of >72% on the remediation exam in order to earn a Pass grade for the block and be promoted to the third year.

Students must sign up to complete their remediation exam(s) on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 21st
  • Monday, April 27th
  • Monday, May 4th

Exceptions to the above scheduled dates:

  • Integrated Problems: Please contact Dr. Young (Megan.Young2@bmc.org) directly to schedule your remediation.
  • Introduction to Clinical Medicine 2: Please contact Dr. Stanfield (lstanfie@bu.edu) directly to schedule your remediation.
