Biochemistry Department
My primary skills and interests are involved in improving the capability of the Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometer for the analysis of “real world” biological samples.
My current research projects include:
1) Applications of Electron Capture Dissociation
2) High Pressure MALDI-FTMS for the analysis of labile biomolecules
3) Design and construction of a large 2-Dimensional XY stage which will allow spacially resolved MALDI-FTMS.
4) Improvement of the ion transfer efficiency of the Analytica electrospray source.
5) Development of the B.U.D.A. code to assist in the huge task of interpreting complex FTMS spectra.
6) Cryogenic FTMS.
