Medical Informatics Fellowship Program

We have an opening for one new postdoctoral researcher every summer, for a two-year fellowship in medical informatics. The qualifications for this position are a PhD, MD or other doctoral degree in medicine or a research area related to behavioral informatics or computer science (especially computational linguistics or speech processing). Medical knowledge is a plus, but is not required. U.S. citizenship or a green card is required.

This postdoctoral position is funded by the National Library of Medicine through their Medical Informatics Fellowship program. In addition to a stipend (based on number of years of postdoctoral experience) and health insurance allowance, the NLM provides a
generous tuition allowance, and candidates are expected to continue their education during their two-year tenure, with educational opportunities in medical informatics, medicine, public health, or technical curricula offered through BU and other Boston-area
institutions.

Interested candidates should send a statement of interest, a curriculum vitae and three letters of reference.
