HIV Co-Project Director-Interventionist and Evaluators
Kathleen Reid, MA, LMHC is a Co-Project Director for Dr. Brady’s NIMH funded HIV Prevention Study with the Homeless and Mentally Ill at the Boston Medical Center. Her primary responsibilities include delivering the motivational interviewing-based intervention, conducting psychosocial and neuropsychological assessments, as well as data management and manuscript preparation. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston where she studied Counseling and Health Psychology. She continued on to the Boston University School of Medicine where she earned a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine. Kathleen is currently licensed as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts. She first gained research experience while working at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine on an NIH funded project investigating exercise and nicotine replacement for female smokers. Kathleen has experience working as part of multidisciplinary care teams providing individual and group psychotherapy, substance abuse counseling, and crisis counseling to adults facing multiple challenges. She enjoys working with disadvantaged individuals in an effort to promote health and wellness among a population affected by mental illness.
Jessica Wolfe, MA is a Clinical Interventionist for Dr. Brady’s HIV Prevention Study with the Homeless and Mentally Ill at the Boston Medical Center. Her primary responsibilities include delivering the SBMI intervention, conducting psychosocial and neuropsychological assessments, as well as data management and manuscript preparation. Jessica graduated with a degree in Biology from Boston College, and continued on to Boston University, where she earned a Master’s degree in General Psychology. Prior to coming to Boston Medical Center, she worked on several smoking cessation studies with both adult and adolescent populations at Butler Hospital in Providence, RI and as a smoking cessation counselor on a population study at the University of Rhode Island.
