Our program is designed to meet the licensure requirements for the State of Massachusetts and most states throughout the country. Students work closely with academic advisors to ensure that they will meet licensure requirements in other states as well.
All students seeking independent licensure are required to take a licensing exam. There are currently two different exams that are offered within the United States. There is the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) and the National Counselor Examination (NCE). Each State in the country regulates which exam they require for licensure.
Please click here for state board contact information in order to determine if your state board uses the (NCMHCE) or the (NCE).
