KEYWORDS:

Cardiac Computed Tomography, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Echocardiography, Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarction, Obesity

SUMMARY OF ACADEMIC INTERESTS:

My major research interest is in the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases.

Heart failure – risk factors for heart failure, prognostic indicators after the onset of heart failure, and trends in incidence of and survival with heart failure.

Myocardial infarction – influence of hypertension on cardiac remodeling and adverse clinical outcomes in patients with myocardial infarction.

Advanced Cardiac Imaging – compare and contrast the applications and benefits of various modalities of noninvasive cardiac imaging (echocardiography, cardiovascular magnetic resonance, cardiac computed tomography, and nuclear cardiology).
