Student Residence
In February 2008 BUSM purchased an 86,000 square foot parcel of land that will soon house
first- and second-year medical students in state-of-the-art facilities. The nine-story building will offer
one- and two-bedroom suites, an exercise room, a lounge, and parking. President Robert Brown and the
University Board of Trustees are committed to this ambitious project and already have allocated university
funds to cover 50 percent of the project’s total cost. For the vision to become a reality, the School of
Medicine must match the University’s commitment, dollar for dollar.
