Graduate Medical Sciences Welcoming Barbecue

The Alumni Association hosted the Welcoming Barbecue for incoming Graduate Medical Sciences students on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 on Talbot Green. The event began at 4:30PM as students finished their orientation for the day. In attendance were GMS students, staff, faculty and the new GMS Provost, Linda Hyman, Ph.D. A barbecue dinner was served, allowing the guests a chance to spend some time getting to know those in their GMS community at BUSM. The Alumni Association passed out welcome gifts and information regarding student volunteer opportunities at alumni events through the year. Assistant Dean of Alumni Affairs, Dr. Jean Ramsey, took a few minutes along with Dr. Hyman to welcome the group to the school of medicine, and into the Alumni Association family.
