| Long-term Goals: I plan on attending medical school and I hope to eventually use my skills as a doctor to provide medical care to people living in impoverished regions of the world. | |
| My current research interests: I am very interested in the LEN Lab’s current research on REM/NREM processing and I am curious to see what implications it may have for future behavioral research. | |
| How I became involved in the LEN Lab: I joined the LEN Lab in the summer of 2008 as a work-study student. | |
| What I am currently working on in the LEN Lab: I am currently working on transcribing memories and sleep diaries as well as scoring data for the REM/NREM project. | |
| My experience working in the LEN Lab: I have been able to develop useful skills and gain valuable research experience. In particular, I have strengthened my computer skills, I have gained more knowledge about general office work, and I have become familiar with using literature databases such as PubMed, security and privacy regulations, and behavioral research methods such as transcribing and scoring behavioral data. | |

My experiences in the LEN Lab have encouraged me to think about how research and medical practices intersect and work together, and I hope to use these experiences in my future professional advancement. | |
