Wired Network Access
The Networks team at BUMC IT is in the process of upgrading older wired infrastructure on the medical campus to bring it into compliance with current standards. Requirements | Connection requires a standard 10BaseT Ethernet cable, available from most computer stores. We recommend BU vendor SHI. |
Cost | Generally there are no charges to use network services. Network design, installation, and port activation charges vary; departments interested in these services should submit an IT request for more information. |
Getting Started | Plug your Ethernet cable into any active Ethernet wall jack and the corresponding port on your computer and your network access should simply begin working.
