Overview BUMC IT monitors and operates the networking infrastructure for the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, Goldman School of Dental Medicine, the School of Public Health, and the administrative groups for the Medical Campus.

The network infrastructure consists of fiber, copper, and microwave connections ranging in speed from 10mb/s to 10-Gigabit Ethernet.  Desktop connections are, largely, Ethernet or Fast Ethernet connections and there is a growing wireless presence on campus utilizing 802.11a and 802.11g networks.
