Welcome to the Boston University Medical Campus Information Technology (BUMC IT) website. This page presents information about the mission, governance, and staff for BUMC IT. BUMC IT is an integral part of the overall BU IS&T community with a specific focus for IT support on the Medical Campus. BUMC IT also maintains strategic partnerships with core partners such as BMC and the Boston area VA.

BUMC Information Technology is led by Executive Director, Bobby Sprinkle.
Systems and Technology
Systems and Technology is led by Director, Chip Tewksbury. Systems and Technology designs, provides and maintains much of the computing and communications infrastructure on the Medical Campus. Services include shared infrastructure such as the wired and wireless networks, print server, storage and backup, server hosting, and data centers.
Application Services is led by Director, Christopher Dorney. Application Services develops custom business applications and databases, assists with implementing vendor solutions and helps create SharePoint Collaboration sites to meet the needs of the BUMC community.
Network Systems is led by Director, Charles Von Lichtenberg. Network Services monitors and operates the networking infrastructure for the Goldman School of Dental Medicine, the School of Medicine, the School of Public Health, and the administrative groups for the Medical Campus.
Client Services is led by Associate Director, Matthew Maderos. Client Services provides centralized technology support (software, hardware, and account services) to most members of the Medical Campus community, including the School of Medicine, the School of Public Health and Administrative units.
Information Services is led by Kathleen Sullivan, Manager of Information Services Delivery. Information Services oversees project management for the department, development and ongoing management of our customer relations efforts as well as promoting and managing the delivery of our varied service offerings to the BUMC community.
The BUMC IT Service Desk, managed by Service Desk Manager, Frank Furnari, acts as an integral part of Client Services at BUMC IT. The Service Desk offers phone, e-mail and in-person support to meet the technology support needs of the BUMC community. The Service Desk, located on the fourth floor of Crosstown Center on the Medical Campus, is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on University holidays. Contact BUMC IT.
