Major Accomplishments
Dr. Gretchen Gignac was appointed Firm Chief for the Hematology/Oncology inpatient unit.
Dr. Rita Blanchard opened four new clinical trials in breast and ovarian cancer and in chemotherapy-induced nausea.
Dr. Adam Lerner was awarded two new RO1 grants and initiated the multidisciplinary Skin Oncology Clinic, with Dr. Demierre.
Dr. Carol Rosenberg received a new grant from the Mary Kay Ash Foundation.
Dr. Vaishali Sanchorawala was promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine and is PI of a new clinical trial of Velcade in patients with Al Amyloid, and directs a SWOG transplant study to Amyloidosis and high risk myeloma.
Dr. Martin Steinberg was awarded two new supplements to the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center grant.
Dr. David Seldin was appointed Section Chief.
Dr. Isabel Dominquez received an award from the American Heart Association.
