All HARC attendees have the option of purchasing a 1-day registration to ICCH for Wednesday October 19, 2011.  This will allow you to attend any ICCH session on Wednesday. The fee for this 1-day registration is $85.00. To purchase, select the “ICCH Wednesday Sessions” agenda item as part of your HARC registration.

WHICH AIRPORT?

There are two airports in Chicago. Midway is closer to Northwestern University and the conference hotels and is less used. O’Hare is bigger and more congested, but may offer more flight options. Please pick the airport that allows you the best value for time and price.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION

Please consider taking public transportation (L) or an airport shuttle, or sharing a cab.  Cabs charge on a time and mileage basis; therefore, rates vary greatly by time of day. Here is more information about the price and time involved:

• Your fastest and least expensive option is taking the “L”. It costs only $2.25. Take the Orange line from Midway airport (20-25 minutes) or the Blue line from O’Hare airport (40-45 minutes). Instructions are here: http://www.transitchicago.com/riding_cta/airports.aspx#ord
• A shuttle or taxi will take 15-40 minutes from Midway to downtown, and 25-90 minutes from O’Hare to downtown.
• The shuttle Airport Express provides door to door service, and can be booked ahead of time at 1-800-654-7871. One-way fares are $26 from Midway and $31 from O’Hare. Roundtrip fares are $46 from Midway and $55 from O’Hare. $2 discount coupons are here: http://www.airportexpress.com/discounts
• From Midway to downtown, a taxi will cost over $36. From O’Hare to downtown, a taxi will cost over $44.
