as seen from Father Francis Gilday Street

Originally constructed in the late 1800′s, the building that houses Harrison Court was formerly home to the old Boston College High School. In 1991 one wing of the old high school was converted into 60 spacious apartment units now known as Harrison Court. The remaining untouched portion of the old high school spans nearly an entire block (perpendicularly abutting Harrison Court) and has been vacant for over two decades. Over the next two years, in a joint development effort by Kenney Development and RF Walsh Company the vacant building will be converted into condominium housing.

Harrison Avenue and East Newton Street

In addition to the rehabilitation project, Kenney Development and RF Walsh will also construct a new apartment building. James Court will be constructed above a new three level underground parking facility in what was formerly a surface parking lot adjacent to Harrison Court.

Included in the site plan is a beautifully landscaped courtyard to be located between Harrison Court and James Court. Harrison Court apartments on the northeast side of the building will overlook the courtyard.

Boston University is coordinating closely with the construction manager of this project to minimize the impact of construction on Harrison Court tenants. A Harrison Court Tenant Relations Team has been established to communicate with and to Harrison Court tenants regarding construction activities and to represent Harrison Court tenants regarding any related issues. Tenants with construction related questions or concerns should email hctrt@bu.edu.
