The Graduate Program for Neuroscience (GPN) is University wide, servicing the BU neuroscience community, the Program in Biomedical Sciences (PiBS) is a new medical campus portal that allows entry into several PhD departments and programs (Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics and Genomics, Immunology Training Program, Microbiology, Molecular Medicine, Nutrition and Metabolism, Pathology & Laboratory and Physiology); Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics and Behavioral Neuroscience are Inter-Departmental while Anatomy & Neurobiology and Oral Biology are Department-based.
We enjoy funding from the National Institutes of Health to support training in specific areas including but not limited to: Aging, Biomolecular Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, Cardiovascular Biology, Inflammation, Metabolism, Endocrinology and Obesity, Pathogenesis, Pulmonary Biology and Immunology. Additionally we have a robust mentorship program that emphasizes professional development and career opportunities.
