Administrative Manager, Postdoctoral Affairs
Ms. Kovalko formerly served as a Program Administrator for BU Summer Term where she managed two large programs: the Summer Study Internship and the International Program. Ms. Kovalko worked in a variety of positions at the Charles River Campus for the past 15 years, always as a strong advocate for students. She worked hard to make sure students received excellent service and plans to do the same for the post-doctoral fellows she is working with now. She has supported undergraduate and graduate students in CAS Biology, Biochemistry, College of Communication, Metropolitan College and Summer Term. She brings to this newly created position, her expertise, knowledge, skills, creativity, and enthusiasm. Ms. Kovalko was born in Poland and lived in Vienna, Austria before she came to the United States. She earned her BA degree in Art History and an MA in Arts Administration from Boston University. In addition to acquiring degrees and other professional titles, such as Professional Fundraiser and Real Estate broker, Ms. Kovalko and her husband helps run the Global Voices, an independent film festival sponsored by the UN Association. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and her dog, not necessarily in that order, attending theatre plays, art shows, and movies.
