Julie Shine joined the GMS staff July 2010 with plenty of experience planning and leading events for the college community already under her belt. As an undergraduate, she worked in the Office of Student Activities and was an orientation peer counselor for incoming freshman and transfer students. Julie received her B.A. from Rhode Island College in Elementary Education. At Boston University, Julie is continuing her education as a M.Ed student in the School of Education’s Policy, Planning, and Administration Program, specializing in Higher Education Administration.
Her main responsibilities at GMS include working closely with the M.D./Ph.D. directors to assist with admissions, student support, scheduling program activities and interviews with prospective M.D./Ph.D. candidates. In addition, she works with graduate student organizations, like the GMSSO, and serves on various GMS committees. In her free time, Julie likes to hike, camp, and support Boston sports teams.
