Health Insurance Plans

As of Fall 2011 semester, Graduate Medical Sciences (GMS) Ph.D level students are automatically enrolled in the Boston University Student Plus Health Insurance Plan and their BU Student Account will be charged for the coverage.

GMS Full-Time and Certified Full-Time MA and MS level graduate students are enrolled in the BASIC health insurance  plan for 2013-2014. However, students are eligible to upgrade from the BASIC to PLUS health insurance plan.

The BASIC health insurance plan rate for 2013-2014 is $2,141.

The PLUS health insurance plan rate for 2013-2014 is $2,910.

Students enrolled in a comparable health insurance plan may file a Medical Insurance Waiver form via the Student Link.
