Commencement 2013 – Attendance Form Extended Deadline April 8th

All PhD, MA and MS students completing their degree in May 2013 should visit the GMS Commencement page for important information regarding ordering your regalia, choosing your faculty hooder and signing up to attend the MA/MS (May 17) or the PhD/MD-PhD (May 18th) ceremonies.

GMS Graduation Workshops 1/22 at 12:00pm (PhD) and 3:00pm (MA/MS)

Information session for students graduating in May 2013 will be held on Jan. 22.

PhD Candidates will meet at 12pm in room R103 for lunch.

MA/MS Candidates will meet at 3pm in Bakst Auditorium.

MA/MS Thesis Title Approval Form Due

All MA and MS students planning to graduate in September 2012 should have submitted their Thesis Title page ASAP. MAMS students, if completing a research-based thesis should also submit the Thesis Agreement Form. For students with readers who are not GMS faculty, a Special Appointment form must be submitted. All forms can be found on the MAMS and MA & MS student forms pages. All Thesis Deadlines can be found on the Graduation Calendar.

TODAY – May 2012 Graduation Workshop

GMS will hold graduation workshops on Thursday January 19th for all doctoral and masters students planning on completing their degree by May 2012 .

The Workshop will provide information on GMS required forms, policies and deadlines, general information on thesis writing and formatting as well as submission guidelines.

Date: Thursday, January 19th

Who: PhD Candidates at 12:30pm in room R103 (lunch will be served)

Who: MA/MS Candidates at 4pm in Bakst Auditorium

Dissertation Prospectus Outline Approval Page Due February 3, 2012.

PhD Candidates planning on completing their doctorate degree by Sept. 2012 should submit the Dissertation Prospectus Outline Approval Page by 2/3/12. This form can be found on the PhD Student forms page.

Thesis Submission Due Date August 4th for all September, 2011 Graduates.

All GMS (MA, MS and PhD) students planning on graduating in September, 2011 should submit their thesis for format review after July 26th. Two copies of the thesis with signed approval pages are due to the Registrar by 3pm on Thursday, August 4th. Please see thesis submission guidelines found on the student forms page for additional information.

September MA/MS graduates may be able to walk at the May commencement ceremony

If you plan to complete your MA or MS degree by September 2011 you may be eligible to attend the Masters graduation ceremony on May 20th at 10am. This is a wonderful event where you can celebrate your success with your classmates and family.

If you are interested in attending graduation, students should receive approval from their program director and/or advisor and then submit the appropriate (MA/MS or MAMS) diploma application to the registrar Ms. Millie Agosto ASAP. The diploma application can be found on the GMS website under student forms. Please indicate your Expected Month and Year of Graduation as September 2011 on the application. Students will receive additional details regarding graduation later this semester
