WORKING IN THE MULTI-CULTURAL LAB: COMMUNICATION, REASONING, AND OTHER CULTURAL DIFFERENCES
Presented by Anne P. Copeland, Ph.D., Executive Director, The Interchange Institute
Former Associate Professor of Psychology, Boston University
This workshop will provide a review of international research on cultural values that affect work assumptions and relationships, and differences in scientific reasoning approaches that affect collaborations in multicultural teams. We will look at core cultural values in communication style and work relationships, including relationships between lab directors and staff, decision-making about publication authorship, work commitment, and other topics suggested by attendees.
Notes: RSVP: sleasman@bu.edu by Friday, November 30th, 5:00 PM with full name and position/department. This workshop can accommodate 30 students only, so hurry and reserve your seat now!
