CRC Master’s and Professional Student Resources
The Office of the Associate Provost for Graduate Affairs provides leadership for the University’s graduate and professional education initiatives. In an effort to promote and expand resources and support services for our master’s and professional students, we provide regular communication about central University initiatives pertaining to the graduate student experience.
Headspace
New semesters bring about new excitement – and sometimes new stress. We’re pleased to let you know that all degree-seeking students at BU now have free access to Headspace – a research-backed app for mindfulness and meditation. Headspace has practices (some as short as 1 minute!) to help with feeling overwhelmed, improving focus, and managing anxiety – just to name a few.
Save the Date: Master’s Student Lunch and Learn Series
Join us at the Educational Resource Center (ERC) this semester for a three-part workshop series specifically designed for the needs of master’s students! Topics will include: how to balance your academic, professional, and personal priorities; how to manage setbacks and cultivate resilience; and how to craft a professional identity while in graduate school.
The workshops will be held on March 20, March 27, and April 3 from 12:30-2 pm at the Yawkey Center for Student Services. Registration will open in late February. To learn more about how the ERC can help support your success in graduate school, please view the informational flyer.
Career Development
Many of you may be entering your final semester of master’s study, which is a prime time to explore your post-graduation career plans. All on-campus graduate students have access to the Center for Career Development (CCD); online students have access to a number of services as well. In addition to the helpful tools and resources provided by the CCD, graduate students are encouraged to participate in a variety of workshops designed to further their career development.
