Navigating Cultural Differences in Academia and Beyond 12/6

Are you in a lab with scientists from different cultures and backgrounds then you? Are you a minority or international student wanting to know how to navigate cultural conversations? Science occurs worldwide, scientists need to be more aware of culture differences to have productive and healthy work environments. Dr. Alice Sedar, a professor at Northeastern University and a career coach is an expert on cultural competency and perspectives. Dr. Sedar will engage students to share their perspectives and also provide her own first-hand experience as a newcomer to America. This workshop will provide you with useful tools/skills to deal with different cultural situations.
