Mariuca Tuxbury

 Ms. Tuxbury is a Patient Navigator for the AVON funded patient navigation research
program on the Women’s Health Unit.  In this role she has developed and delivered direct
interventions that have dramatically improved mammography HEIDIS measures. She has worked with patient panels for General Internal Medicine providers and medical residents at Boston Medical Center with a focus on patients that are overdue for their screening services.In addition to her patient navigation duties, Ms. Tuxbury is also the manager of the Care Coordination Program, a grant funded by MA Department of Public Health.  She has worked in collaboration with the Outreach Workers Training Institute and MA Department of Public Health and serves as an educator for patient navigation training program. Over the past 5 years, she co-instructed numerous trainings for Massachusetts community health workers, as well as Washington Department of Health.
