Jack Clark, PhD

Jack A. Clark, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Health Services is a medical sociologist whose research has focused on chronic diseases, patient-physician communication, and decision making, especially in vulnerable populations. His studies integrate quantitative and qualitative methods. Dr. Clark was one of the founding faculty of the Center for Health Quality, Outcomes, and Economic Research (CHQOER) at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in 1990, and developed and directed the pre- and post-doctoral training programs. Dr. Clark has provided significant support to the BIRCWH program within the areas of qualitative research and patient-reported outcomes.
