To apply for a Global Health Summer Scholarship (2017), you must submit the
ITEM #1: Online Application for GH Summer Scholarship (the form below)
ITEM #2: GH Summer Scholarship Proposal (Word document) to be submitted
below and named as: 'Your Last Name, Your First Name, GH Summer Scholarship
Proposal, 2017.doc'. Click here for the document: GH

ITEM #3: Credly Badge for EdX Course. You must complete the
following EdX course and submit the credly badge (a screen shot of the badge is OK) below named as 'Your
Last Name, Your First Name, EdX Part 1':
The Practitioner's Guide to Global Health - Part 1: The Big Picture
[Learn how to safely and effectively participate in global health rotations
and projects.] . This will require you to set up an EdX account. You will receive the credly badge at completion.
ITEM #4: Liability Form. You must print, sign, and scan the B.U. liability
form and submit the document below named as 'Your Last Name, Your First
Name, Liability Form.pdf'
ITEM #5: E-mail from Preceptor. The person who is supervising your must
forward an e-mail to Ana Gregory indicating
the extent and manner of support provided by the sponsoring organization/individual,
what your role will be in the outlined project, and who will be directly supervising
you. (This does not apply to the following programs: CachaMSI, Cinterandes,
Note on IRB or IACUC Approval: If the proposed project is research and
it involves humans as research subjects or the use of vertebrate animals, IRB
(Institutional Review Board) or IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee)
approval is required for the project to be funded. The student or preceptor
must provide the appropriate documentation (proof of approval by IRB or IACUC)
by May 16 at the latest to Ana Gregory.
If you do not have IRB or IACUC approval, you cannot start your project.
DEADLINE: All parts of the application must be submitted by February 17, 2017, 11:59 PM (for research, community-based project, etc.), OR April 4, 2017, 11:59 PM (for language immersion experiences).
