Course Goals
- Gain an appreciation for the human genetics field including the diverse areas of endeavor, genetic
epidemiology in particular. - Learn a variety of concepts in genetics and epidemiology which would allow a student to read and
evaluate literature in most medical journals which report on this type of science. - Be able to perform a variety of numerical solving problems related to the human genetics field
without advanced training in math or statistics. - Discover the relevance of genetics to virtually all areas of biomedical research and clinical
endeavor, and perhaps utilize the knowledge in one’s chosen discipline.
