Teaching Modules

Diagnostic Laparoscopy in Penetrating Chest Trauma - A 17 year old with a stab wound to the left chest in the midaxillary line reports subscapular pain.
An Irresistible Force Strikes an Immovable Object – The driver of a BMW sustains severe intra-abdominal trauma requiring surgical exploration of the abdomen. This teaching module features a series of short video modules that focus on surgical anatomy that is important during abdominal exploration for trauma.
Interactive Teaching Modules on Management of Trauma - This is a prototype series of teaching modules in which each case unfolds in a stepwise fashion. As information is presented to the student, the student must make decisions and choices with respect to management. The student receives immediate feedback on what the attending physician would have done (and why).
