Clinical
The Division of Pediatric Surgery provides specialized surgical care to infants and children, including general, thoracic, laparoscopic, urologic and gynecologic surgical services. The Pediatric Trauma Service specializes in the management of multiply injured children and adolescents.

Teaching
The Division of Pediatric Surgery maintains a strong commitment to teaching through daily rounds with the surgical house staff, weekly lectures, and conferences. The pediatric surgeons participate in numerous conferences within Boston University School of Medicine, as well as the Departments of Surgery and Pediatrics.

Dr. Moulton actively participates in the education of pre-hospital care providers, pediatric emergency medicine physicians, residents, and medical students. He instructs for the following courses: Boston EMS BLS (Emergency Medicine Services Basic Life Support); Boston Universitly Department of Surgery ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support); and Boston University Department of Pediatrics PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).

Research

Dr. Moulton’s principal areas of research include: pediatric trauma clinical pathways, pediatric neurotrauma, and the role of angiogenesis in intraabdominal adhesion formation.
