I am originally from Orlando, Florida and received my B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Florida. Besides science, I like to keep myself unnecessarily busy with running, yoga, pottery, and when I am home, surfing.

Research:
I have very recently joined the lab and therefore ideas and preliminary experiments are still underway. Currently I am interested in how Neisseria gonorrhoeae modulates apoptosis and inflammation through intracellular receptors to escape host detection.
