Hands-on fluoroscopy radiation safety training labs

Laboratory Training

The hands-on lab consists of a series of demonstrations involving radiation exposure measurements that illustrate the fluoro radiation safety principles given in the tutorial. It also offers the opportunity to ask questions.

Before taking the lab you must register for a personal dosimetry badge. Link to register

Passing the on-line quiz is a prerequisite for taking the lab.

Upon completion of the lab, you will be given a certificate of "Confirmation of Initial Training in Fluoroscopy Radiation Safety" which you must submit to your department.

We will make every effort to accommodate your request as soon as possible. Details of where the lab will be held will be e-mailed to you with your lab assignment.

Note: A minimum of three physicians are required for a lab to be held. Therefore, it can potentially take a week or so before you receive a specific lab assignment. Labs will be cancelled if fewer than three attendees are registered.
