I. Mentor assignments and training the mentors

A. Distribute an announcement listing participants and mentors

B. Emphasize that they represent all three schools at BUMC

C. Can offer mentor orientation. Vicky Parker will ask Kathy Kram to facilitate.

II. Overall curriculum

A. All sessions should produce an action item or deliverable.

B. Guest speakers should be dynamic and complement core faculty.

C. Add topics on managing up and down, negotiating relationships

D. Allow more time at the end for project presentations

E. Can use mentees with relevant projects as case studies for the week

III. First session planning

A. Mentees come prepared with an elevator speech

B. Reading assignments emphasize the positive

IV. Research/evaluation update

A. Will contact chairs for suggestions on control group members
