Appointments

Receiving a faculty appointment at BU does not follow automatically from receiving an offer letter. The process takes at least three months, so it is best to begin assembling the necessary material as soon as possible–even before arriving on campus.

Working with your section chief and administrator, you will need to provide:

  1. CV in BU format
  2. List of evaluators (numbers depend on rank)
  3. Letter from section chief

You should read the DOM guidelines for appointments and promotions as well as the Provost’s list of forms. They are available here.
