Peter S. Cahn joined the Department of Medicine as the Director of Faculty Development and Diversity in April 2010. In that role, he designs, implements, and evaluates programs aimed at recruiting, retaining, and revitalizing faculty.

Before coming to BU, Dr. Cahn was Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Oklahoma. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation and the Wenner-Gren Foundation. He has published in academic journals such as American Ethnologist and Cultural Anthropology as well as in a column for the Chronicle of Higher Education.
