- Requirement: You must be in good academic standing
- Enrollment period: December 6, 2011 – January 6, 2012 (w/ exceptions)

II. Planning Your Summer
Words for the wise: Be creative and proactive!!! Funding is limited. Talk with your peer advisor and Academy Advisor.
- Med Student Summer
Research Program
- $2750 scholarship for 8 weeks of summer research at BUMC
- Applications due: March 23, 2012
- Database will be updated in late December, 2011 or January, 2012 with projects
- Mini course begins January 10, 2012, 2:30 PM, L-112, with "Choosing a Project/Mentor & Writing a Proposal"
- International Health
Summer Scholarship
- Up to $1500 for 8 weeks summer research or community health project in a developing country
- Up to $450 for medical Spanish immersion programs
- Applications due: April 6, 2012
- Mini-course begins Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 2 PM, L-112, with "Developing an Idea and Finding a Mentor"
