Citizen’s CSI Academy
Boston University School of Medicine in conjunction with the Holliston Police Department offer an 11-week annual Citizens CSI Academy in Holliston, MA. This course provides insight and hands-on experience into many areas of forensic sciences and their application to criminal investigations. Our faculty are experts and practitioners in their respective disciplines. Each week a new topic is covered, current practices are demonstrated and the application of the scientific principles and the legal issues are discussed.
Topics covered in class may include

- Pattern Evidence
- Forensic DNA
- Forensic Chemistry
- Forensic Anthropology
- Forensic Pathology
- Major Case Management
Hands-on exercises typically include evidence collection and packaging, foot wear impression, dusting and lifting of fingerprints, excavation of plastic skeletons and mock crime scene investigations.
Lectures are held at the Holliston Police Station and outdoor activities are held at the Boston University Outdoor Facility in Holliston, MA
