Research Interests

Identify microRNA regulators of gene expression in bronchial epithelium using miRNAseq and mRNA expression. This project is focused on analysis and integration of microRNA and mRNA expression data to determine functional changes which occur in bronchial epithelium of human patients in different phenotypes such as cancer, smoking, and age. MicroRNA-mRNA association networks are being analyzed in order to develop clinically useful biomarkers for lung cancer and COPD.
