Dr. Emmy Graber is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and the Associate Residency Training Director at the Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. She is also the Director of the Cosmetic and Laser Center at Boston University. Dr. Graber graduated from The Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine amongst the top of her medical school class, receiving the Dr. Irwin L. Baird Memorial Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. During medical school she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Graber completed her internship in internal medicine at The Pennsylvania State University and was chosen as Intern of the Year. Her residency training in Dermatology was also completed at The Pennsylvania State University. During this time, the university medical student body selected her to receive the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. Following residency, Dr. Graber completed a laser and cosmetic surgery fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, MA.
Dr. Graber practices both general and cosmetic dermatology and has a particular expertise in treating acne and acne scarring. She has worked closely with some of the world’s acne experts and has authored numerous publications and lectured extensively. Her work has appeared in multiple scientific journals including: Dermatologic Surgery, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Cutis and Cosmetic Dermatology. She serves as the aesthetic dermatology consultant for Medscape and often appears in the media as an expert in dermatology. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Acne and Rosacea Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
