Learning Objectives

  • Develop skill at detecting those otolaryngic conditions that can easily be missed in a routine exam
  • Identify potential pitfalls inherent to the practice of otolaryngology that may lead to adverse outcomes or put patients at excessive risk
  • Understand legal principles of medical malpractice and learn ways to minimize risk of malpractice in the every day practice of otolaryngology
