Treating Hepatitis C:  What is your Current Practice?
This open and interactive session will allow the speaker to facilitate a discussion with the participants about their current practice for screening for and treating HCV infection. The speaker will ask
participants to:

• Discuss their practice and the barriers they encounter to treating HCV infection
• Reflect on a recent interaction with a patient with HCV
• Discuss how they managed the patient and if they believe the management was successful

Screening, Treating, and Monitoring HCV-infected Patients
Using a case-based format, the following topics will be discussed:

• Identification of patients suitable for treatment with DAA therapy
• Difficult treatment decisions: patients with cirrhosis, patients with previous partial response or non-response to therapy, treatment of patients with comorbid conditions
• Treatment algorithms for the use of DAAs in the treatment of HCV
• Recognition and management of side effects of DAA therapy
• Overview of the data regarding treatment efficacy for DAA therapy in HCV
