Bin Zhang, DSc
Research Assistant Professor
Research Interests: Dr. Zhang’s research interests include developing new statistical methodologies and new applications for arthritis research, and applying these methods to large scale longitudinal epidemiological studies of rheumatic disease or RA clinical trials. He has been involved in developing outcome measurement in rheumatoid diseases for RA trials, and involved in the development of rheumatoid arthritis remission criteria. He is also interested in statistical applications for work disability studies and meta analysis in rheumatic disease studies. Currently he is working on developing a multistate transition model for the analysis of correlated ordinal data in order to identify the risk factors associated with knee pain severity, functional status and measurement of structure change in arthritis research.
