Research Summary:

My primary academic interests have been work disability associated with chronic illnesses, and vocational and other rehabilitation intervention to prevent or reduce work disability. My studies have addressed rates and factors influencing work disability, as well as studies of the effectiveness of vocational rehabilitation interventions. My current studies are aimed ar provision of interventions for work disability (job retention vocational rehabilitation) in the community.

I have conducted studies in the past on population change in disability and health and on the economic cost of rheumatoid arthritis.
