CLINICAL RESEARCH TRAINING (CREST) PROGRAM

Students with a doctoral degree in the health sciences (M.D, D.D.S., D.M.D., or Ph.D.) are eligible to apply to the CREST PROGRAM for comprehensive training in clinical research including epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, health services research, biobehavioral research and translational research. [PLEASE NOTE: those with "J" visas are not eligible for this program.] The goal of the CREST PROGRAM is to provide educational support and opportunities for persons interested in a clinical research career.

The CREST PROGRAM has 4 elements:

  1. Enrollment in a Master’s program at the Boston University School of Public Health or enrollment in the Master of Arts in Clinical Investigation Program click here for website.
  2. Attendance at a new CREST seminar held every other Tuesday at noon, a seminar at which ongoing clinical research at Boston University will be presented and at which research methodologies will be taught.  Please see adjacent seminar series link.
  3. Successful completion of a mentored clinical research project, the results of which the trainee will present at the CREST seminar.
  4. Successful completion of a brief IRB Internship. Details regarding this IRB internship and a form to be completed will be forthcoming.
