Your incoming Chief Resident must be accepted into the program in order for you to attend. With limited faculty spots, selection of faculty attendees is based upon your statement and faculty position.
To complete the application process, we require: 1) a CV and
2) a statement of support around the Chief Resident you are applying with, (300 words or less) which incorporates a) how attending the program with your Chief Resident will enhance his/her ability to implement addiction medicine curriculum including completion of a Substance Use Teaching Project; developed at the training program and b) how your current faculty position will enable you to add addiction medicine content into the residency program curriculum. Note: This statement will serve as the letter of support for your Chief Resident’s application.
The Immersion Training Program is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). You will be asked to complete several surveys, which we will send to you. Your survey will not be available to program applicant reviewers and will not influence whether or not you are accepted. Your application will not be considered complete until you have returned the pre-course survey.
