How to cite/notify
Notifying NHLBI About Publications
NIH policy: Announcement of intent to publish study abstracts and manuscripts is to be provided to the contract’s project officer, project coordinator, and contracting officer at least 45 days prior to submission to the publisher. News of the publication of a manuscript or abstract is to be reported to NIH and the items submitted to NIH within 30 days of their appearance in print. Unpublished manuscripts should be submitted as soon as possible.
Alternatively,
the policy can be complied with by submitting the final accepted (including publisher’s edits) version of a manuscript to the NIH National Library of Medicine PubMed Central online database. This alternative began May 2, 2005 and more information is available at: NIH Public Access Guide
Cardiovascular Proteomics Center policy (simplified): We are using the quarterly report as the notification procedure and our annual report, containing the complete list of unpublished and published work for the year (manuscripts/ abstracts/protocols/etc.) with Appendix containing the relevant reprints, as the vehicle by which the material goes to NIH.
