Two blocks from the Hampton Inn and still adjacent to our campus is the Best Western Roundhouse Suites, a unique hostelry which bears out in its floor plan the shape its name suggests. This unusual, round building was built in the 1800’s as a reservoir for the natural gas used to light the street lamps of Boston. In the 1920’s, the building was the site of a motion picture exhibition, followed by light manufacturing and storage in the 30’s. And then it remained unused and vacant for many years, before it was transformed into a beautiful, top-notch all-suites hotel. The Round House offers:
Fax/photocopy/valet service
Fitness Center
Business Center
Free shuttle service to local subway stations and Back Bay, 7:15 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Complimentary Airport Shuttle
Free high-speed wireless internet
Free local calling
Complimentary deluxe continental breakfast
Complimentary morning newspaper

One mile from campus by bus or easy walking, through a neighborhood of restored brick row houses and tree-shaded squares dating to the pre-Civil War era, stands one of Boston’s best kept secrets, which we have discovered for you this year. The John Hancock Hotel, a gem of period charm and detail built in 1925 in the Adams style, sits just aside Copley Square. The Hotel neighbors the Boston Public Library, a recently restored Charles F. McKim 1895 architectural masterpiece, and Henry Hobson Richardson’s Romanesque Trinity Church. The John Hancock Tower, designed by I.M. Pei stands one block from the namesake hotel. Amenities include:
24-hour Front Desk
