Biography

Sara K. Meibom, MD is a Clinical Associated Professor of Radiology in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She was a long-time Associate Editor for the case based continuing medical education website Case-in-Point since 2011 (Case-in-Point has an average of 500,000 annual users per year that get credit for completing the educational cases). She is the 2017 Bruce J. Hillman JACR Fellow in Scholarly Publishing and she created an on-line journal article based Quality and Safety curriculum for the JACR. She interprets diagnostic nuclear and PET with diagnostic CT and nuclear cardiology. She has experience treating cancer patients with therapeutic radioisotopes including Pluvicto, Lutathera, Y90 SirSpheres, Radium 223 and I 131. She participates in weekly multidisciplinary tumors board and has a special interest in head and neck cancer imaging. She participates in research, trains and lectures Boston University radiology residents, cardiology fellows and medical students. She occasionally lectures nuclear technology students and physicians assistant students at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where she is the Medical Advisor. She is double boarded in Nuclear Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine.
