My research interests involve identifying the molecular basis for epigenetic alternations in melanoma development and progression using novel pharmacological inhibitors targeting specific epigenetic proteins using both in vitro and preclinical animal models of human disease. Additionally, I am seeking to develop quantitative tools utilizing critical molecular biomarkers, to predict patient responses to targeted epigenetic therapies, which will help to optimize therapeutic decision-making for a personalized approach to treatment of patients with advanced melanoma.
